Visit Bawaka Home Land for a day trip

Visit Bawaka for unique 1 day experience. 50km from Nhulunbuy down an Australian bush track plus 5km sand beach drive. Spend the day there with access to shared bathroom facilities, open style kitchen/dining/lounge area with BBQ, fridges, sink and open beach fireplace, on the beach front at Bawaka. Experience the iconic NT lonely Beach while you’re there.

Homeland Day Visit Fee: $60 per adult and $30 per child (4-16yrs). Under 4yrs free. We will need vehicle Rego number and all names for the Northern Lands Council permit.

Accommodation

There are 3 different types of accommodation. All have access to shared bathroom facilities (no hot water), open style kitchen/dining/lounge area with BBQ, fridges, sink and open beach fireplace.

New Beachfront Cabins

We have three Cabins with double beds and three Cabins with a double bunk and single bed.

$500/night per cabin twin share (double bed or bunk + single)

$600/night per cabin triple share (top/bottom bunk + single)

Safari Tent Camping

Safari tents are fitted out with self-inflatable mattresses and sleeping bags. These tents sleep five comfortably.

Safari Tent: $200 first night plus $50/night per adult and $25/night per child (4-16yrs) Under 4yrs free

Additional nights $100/night plus $50/night per adult and $25/night per child (4-16yrs)

BYO Camping

Or Bring Your own camping gear.

BYO Tent site: $200 first night plus $50/night per adult and $25/night per child (4-16yrs) Under 4yrs free

Additional nights $50/night plus $50/night per adult and $25/night per child (4-16yrs) Under 4yrs free

Catering

Catering: Full catering $250/day per person

Lunch and snacks $100/day per person

Self-Catering: Existing facilities as above. All other utensils, pots, cutlery, crockery and other items are to be self-supplied.

Due to the remote location, please pre-book Catering needs. And bring your own drinking water.
